Dr. Dean J. Williamson was raised as part of a North American Mission Board Missionary family serving to restart an inner-city church in Massachusetts. He graduated from Judson College at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies and a minor in Pastoral Ministry. He then went on to graduate from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018 with an Advanced Master of Divinity where he also received the Nannie Bruce Nelson New Testament award for excellence in New Testament studies.
In the summer of 2021, Pastor Dean began serving as the Interim Youth Pastor at The First Baptist Church of Cocoa and additionally began serving as the Interim Senior Pastor in the fall of 2021. On May 22, 2022, the church body voted Dr. Dean J. Williamson as their Senior Pastor.
In December 2024, Dean graduated with his Doctor of Ministry in Christian Apologetics from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. As a firm believer in "loving the Lord your God with all of your mind" (Matt. 22:37), Dean is currently pursuing a Master of Theology in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL, where he is sharpening his knowledge of the biblical languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.
Dean is married to his high-school sweetheart, Kate, and together they love serving God through the local church and reaching all generations with the life changing message of the gospel.
